About The Play
Dorit Bat Shalom and Ibtisam Mahameed
enable us to look into their hearts and minds and experience the struggle of becoming seekers of peace in a war- torn land. Together they journey into the past and present, reflecting a much larger and ancient story in their personal narratives as Sarah and Hagar, as Women, as mothers, and as human beings.
This theatrical event leaves the audience crying, laughing, and feeling a sense of intimacy and responsibility to contribute to the pursuit of peace. There is a forum for open discussion at the end of the play.
“By the Well of Sara and Hagar”
was successfully preformed throughout the United States.
