The Peace Tent Project

We are a group of women of vision, priestesses of peace.
We are women of all ages - sisters, daughters, mothers, grandmothers; Muslims, Christians and Jews - living on the land of Palestine and Israel.
We disagree to accept the violent situation as is, and choose to take responsibility, be involved in action towards change.
We choose to walk beyond conflict and political talk. We believe in creating an environment of empowerment that enables us to contain the duality of our reality. Walking in means of heart, soul and ' womb talk' we embrace a space that provides personal growth, transformation and creativity.
By activating each other we hope to create a safe space for women to discover their power and awake their sense of leadership. We hope to provide an opportunity for a less violent community by discovering our power for community aid and service, by promoting respect and understanding. Our purpose is to have immediate action in the crisis situation.

Future Plans Include:

In Israel-Palestine:
> Bring the Ritual Theater performance and its accompanying workshops to as many groups of Israelis and Palestinians as possible, including women, men, and high school students. Raise awareness and foster discussion regarding individual feelings, fears and hopes, and spread the idea of co-existence through dialogue, mutual respect and peace.
> Strengthen an already existing network of leading Jewish and Palestinian women of all ages and religions, to extend outreach into the communities.
> Organize weekly gatherings/seminars of Jewish and Palestinian women throughout the country, in order to deepen personal ties, and define immediate areas of action.
> Workshops taking place in Israel hosting women from the US and other

Outside of Israel-Palestine:
> Tours of the theatrical performance and workshops
Raise awareness and bring up the essence of the conflict in the Middle East.
> Create a community of support around the world of women holding the vision of peace and coexistence in the region.
> Help fund raising activities to support "The Peace Tent Project" activities in the region.
